New instrument is the smart way to check X-ray tubes

Now available in the UK from Southern Scientific, the Cobia SMART from RTI is an accurate, simple-to-use instrument for checking X-ray tube output. No adjustments or set-up procedures are required and the instrument is simply placed beneath the X-ray tube and an exposure is made.
A major advantage of Cobia SMART over contemporary instruments of this type is that it is fitted with a large, rotatable screen with a very clear display so that readings can be taken easily and from a long distance. This innovative display even shows the results right way up in measurement situations where the instrument is positioned upside down.Cobia SMART is calibrated by an accredited X-ray laboratory and has a standard warranty of two years, although this can be extended to ten years. A battery status indicator clearly shows operational time remaining and the rapidly charged batteries mean that the Cobia SMART is always ready to go.
There are three versions of Cobia SMART available for measuring a range of different radiography and fluoroscopy parameters (kV, dose and combination meters) allowing customers to chose the model that best suits their measuring needs.
