See us at CARM 2016
31st October 2016
Southern Scientific will be exhibiting at CARM 2016 (UK National Conference on Applied Radiation Metrology) from the 1st to the 3rd November.
This year's conference will be focusing on the Environment Agency’s intention to start a themed inspection of approaches to site characterisation, making it a timely opportunity for delegates to listen to presentations on this topic from leading figures at the Environment Agency, the NDA and Sellafield.
Other topics which will be covered at CARM 2016 include: new detector technologies; the measurement of airborne radioactivity; approaches to quality assurance; and changes in ISO standards.
The event is taking place at the National Physical Laboratory in Teddington. NPL is the UK's National Measurement Institute, and is a world-leading centre of excellence in developing and applying the most accurate measurement standards, science and technology available.
Southern Scientific will be putting Wilma on show at the event. An on-line water monitor for radionuclide detection, measurement and analysis, Wilma is a self-contained system which permits periodic acquisition, measurement and analysis of discrete water samples.
