The Care Wise C-Trak gamma probe system – providing accurate and precise detection for advanced surgical techniques
17th November 2016
The Care Wise C-Trak Galaxy gamma probe system will be on show at the forthcoming I-125 Seeds Workshop which is taking place on the 21st November at the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle upon Tyne.
Used in theatres across the UK, United States and Europe and considered to be the first choice for many breast surgeons, the C-Trak Galaxy is noted for its accurate and precise detection of radiation during sentinel node biopsies. This allows smaller incisions to be made during surgery which in turn contributes to faster patient recovery.
The Newcastle Hospitals Trust was the first medical facility to introduce a routine UK service to localise tumours using Iodine-125 seeds as an alternative to wires. Since its introduction the Trust has become a key centre for the technique and has run a number of workshops for surgeons from across the country who wish to familiarise themselves with the procedure. The 1 day workshop on 21st November will continue in that vein offering multidisciplinary presentations and reading material covering key stages of the process as well as practical hands-on demonstrations of equipment for delegates.
The C-Trak Galaxy will be on show on the Southern Scientific stand at the event and ready for demonstration during the breaks in the workshop programme. Why not visit our stand and see the instrument for yourself.
If you are unable to attend the workshop, but would be interested in further information about the C-Trak Galaxy or other products in the Care Wise range, then please contact Anna Groom.
