Detection of metastases in rats using [18F] FDG PET with MOLECUBES preclinical imagers
De Meulenaere et al. (Plos One, 2018) recently characterised a rat model with extracranial manifestations of a brain seeking breast cancer cell line with PET-CT. The image represents total body 18F-FDG PET-CT imaging as a fast and non-invasive method to visualize and quantify extracranial metastases in bone and lungs.
MOLECUBES provide three individual PET, SPECT and CT preclinical imagers - or 'CUBES', that offer cutting edge resolution and image quality. Suitable for rat and mouse imaging, the CUBES boost high acquisition speeds with seamless co-registration.
