A new-generation of multiprobe contamination monitor
Designed by Bertin Instruments to detect and prevent any surface contamination of personnel leaving controlled work areas, the SaphyRAD C is a multiprobe detector of alpha and beta radioactive contamination.
The unit includes a wide range of α, β and α+β contamination probes and is compatible with the majority of probes available on the market, meaning you wouldn't have to swap out all of your current instrumentation. The new scintillation probes can range from 100cm3 - 170cm3 active surface areas, with distance assurance control by proximity sensor.
The SaphyRAD C's specific detection algorithm allows for fast and reactive monitoring.
The equipment is based on the recent DOM 420 radiation meter developed for the French Ministry of Defence, making the SaphyRAD C a very robust and ergonomic system designed to be easily operated even with the highest levels of PPE or CBRN protective clothing worn.
The remote distance sensors embedded within the probe are coupled to visual and audio alarms, ensuring operators with a clear indication that measurements have been satisfactorily carried out.
Built-in to the SaphyRAD C is a simulation mode used to perform realistic training for users of the device, without the need of a radioactive source. All detection data from the device can be stored on an external SD card for measurement recordings.
