The FOR-MED neck support is used to stabilise and fix the head into position so that when scanning the same viewing angles are given.
The special foam used for the head support provides extra comfort for the patient, and supports the neck. For thyroid scanning, the chin can be tilted backwards for an optimal projection of the thyroid.
