The HS-RAM is a pedestrian portal monitor designed for the detection and measurement of gamma radiation on potentially exposed personnel.
It features 8 large-area plastic scintillation detectors distributed over walls, floors and the ceiling, creating 8 sensitive areas that work autonomously or independently, allowing simultaneous measurements with different alarm thresholds. It can be operated bi-directionally thanks to sensors detecting the presence of a person on either side. the HS-RAM is fully automated, when not in use, it continuously updates the background and stops this operation when an operator enters the measurement area.
The structure is made of steel and aluminium to be easily cleaned and decontaminated. The HS-RAM is equipped with a 12“ color TFT touch screen that shows, in real-time the measurements, background readings and alarms. To control the HS-RAM there's no need for an external PC. The management and control of all the features can be easily done on the system itself through the touch screen.
