Introducing the new range of Sigma mobile patient chairs

Southern Scientific has introduced a new range of battery powered Sigma mobile patient chairs.  Designed to meet specific patient needs, there is a choice of models featuring increased seat width and depth and a variety of maximum weight capacities of up to 300kgs (47 stone).

With the aid of the powered controls, staff can quickly and easily manoeuvre the chair into the optimum patient position.  All models feature independently adjustable leg supports and Trendelenburg/Reverse Trendelenburg tilting of +/-10°. 

The unique quick release facility allows the staff to use the Sigma chairs with confidence that, in an emergency, a patient could be brought into a horizontal recovery position within seconds.
Sigma chairs are ideal for enabling the staff to move a patient out of bed at the earliest opportunity.

These versatile chairs have been developed by Southern Scientific in co-operation with leading UK hospitals to provide optimum comfort, safety and control.

Sigma 135, the original Sigma with a maximum patient weight capacity of 135 kgs / 21 stone
Sigma 250, featuring an extra wide seat and increased maximum patient weight capacity of 250 kgs / 39 stone
Sigma 300, featuring a wide and extra deep seat, with further increased weight capacity of 300 kgs / 47 stone
