Generate pulse widths as low as 10 ns

The BNC Model 577 is a high-quality digital pulse and delay generator used for precision timing applications. With either 4 or 8 output channels, it can generate pulse widths as low as 10 ns, making it ideal for Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) measurements. It is easy to use with rubberised keys and a scroll wheel to navigate the built-in menu screen. The system offers excellent connectivity with serial and USB ports for control via SCPI commands and optional Ethernet and GPIB communications.

A configurable instrument

By default, the 577 is configured for TTL pulse outputs into high impedance coaxial connections. However, a range of alternative outputs are available at the time of ordering, allowing researchers to customize the generator to their specific needs. The system provides adjustable output voltages of up to 20 V, 35 V, or 45 V with the highest voltage variant. Furthermore, the 577 can be configured to operate with optical inputs and outputs at 820 nm or 1300 nm making it a highly adaptable tool for various research applications.
