CVM267: A conveyor belt monitor for luggage and mail screening
The CVM267 sitting about a conveyor belt is always on, a large plastic scintillation detector ensures the sensitivity to pick up radioactivity in a stream of moving items. A detection will set off a flashing beacon and any connected alarms or processes. The system can be configured to cut power to the conveyor. The CVM267 performs regular self checks an continually monitors background radiation. Fault and tamper alarms are easily distinguishable from gamma or neutron detection alarms, which are shown as different color lights on a beacon.
